New Lithium Battery Transportation Regulations in effect January 1, 2008. Click here to read the Department of Transportation's final rule for the transportation of lithium batteries, including both primary (non-rechargeable) and secondary (rechargeable) lithium batteries.
Ultralife's fully-equipped testing laboratories in both the US and UK can perform the lithium battery transportation tests and verification of compliance now required by the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria. Our test services are available to device manufacturers, battery assemblers, research and end-user organizations who either do not have their own in-house testing capabilities or prefer to take advantage of our many years of battery design, manufacturing and testing expertise.
Ultralife has the capability to perform all of the UN T1 - T8 tests in-house at both its Newark, New York, and Abingdon, England facilities for the following chemistries: Li/MnO2, Lithium-Ion and Lithium Polymer.
Testing completion time can vary depending on quantity and fixture requirements.
Please contact Ultralife for information on testing costs and timing.
Upon completion of testing, Ultralife will issue a test report containing a description of the tests performed and the test results.
For additional information on this testing service, or to arrange to have your cells or batteries tested, please contact your Ultralife sales representative, or Customer Service.
