Multiple Emergency Response Communications Vehicles (ERCV)
Overview:
The mission of a rapid response vehicle is to provide critical communications to support emergency management, surveillance, and disaster relief situations. RedBlack designs, modifies, and upgrades various Emergency Response Communications Vehicles and trailers to support a variety of customers and their specified requirements. We work with vehicles varying in size from the Chevy Suburban and the Ford E350 Van, up to the Sprinter Van and Freightliner Wolfcoach.
We also design and modify special purpose trailers to accommodate special communications equipment. We include any necessary modifications to electrical and environmental systems, voice and data networks, and the addition of workstations when requested, mounting of external antenna, and interfaces to external communications infrastructures.
While our most recent Rapid Response Vehicle used a SWE-Dish satellite terminal, our designs can be oriented toward the use of any suitable terminal, such as the AVL mobile VSAT products, the RaySAT SlealthRay, and the MotoSAT DirecWay to name a few.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
Problem:
A U.S. Intelligence Agency required a high resolution video briefing and presentation system that could accommodate up to 50 workstations to enhance situational awareness and command and control capabilities.
Solution:
RedBlack designed a solution including installation, testing, and fixed-site support. The EOC received extensive communication systems integration combined with A/V, CATV and VTC systems. Each workstation had high resolution RGB. Crestron touch panel controllers provided dynamic configuration of each system. A turnkey fully operational fixed-site ops center with training, support and documentation that was secure, functional and effective upon cutover.
24/7 Command Center
Problem:
The U.S. Department of State needed a focal point for a 24/7 security event monitoring, analysis and response. The command center needed to be designed and integrated to allow analysts to constantly monitor, correlate and distribute information from multiple sources, both secure and overt. And, it needed a centralized focal point to visually combine information from the multiple sources such as secure and non-secure network feeds, telephone and remote video would be incorporated into the solution.
Solution:
RedBlack provided design support, Stage II testing, installed and integrated equipment, and furniture, fiber-optic cabling and managed facility modifications. Prior to delivery, we conducted complete QA/QC acceptance testing and delivered as built and with complete documentation. The solution allows up to 8 analysts to have a fully functional and comfortable work environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The focal point of the solution is a large “video wall” that is used to combine information from multiple sources.
